If you’re looking for a totally free beach experience, bring your towel/chair/sweater for something on which to lay. The pebble beach is a little uncomfortable so it’s best to have something soft on which to sit. If you’re looking to splurge on a bit of luxury, you can always visit the private beaches. Having been to France multiple times, it is surprising that we have yet to make it to Nice. Rest assured it is on the list. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

What a great post! It brings back fond memories. We love just wandering through a neighborhood, so old Nice was like a playground to us! We found neat shops, lovely people (who took time to help us with our horrible French), and delicious chocolate! It was a great way to spend the day, even though we found several ways to make it not free. 😉 #WeekendWanderlust

Traveling in a motorhome in France would be awesome! And yes, I can see how Nice might not be the friendliest location for parking those vehicles. When we were driving into the city from the Alps we had a lot of amazing view opportunities!
